Spring has sprung with bright, light, colors!

The crocuses are pushing their way up through the still-chilly Earth and the daffodils are starting to bloom. Spring! Finally, we can pack away the earth tones, the dreary blacks and boring neutrals and bust out the blues, pinks, lavenders and yellows. Here’s a look at what Spring holds in store.

Sky blue instead of inky navy

Whether you’re shopping for a prom gowns or a new look for your nails, Tiffany blue is the way to go. It’s clean, soothing, and sexy, all at the same time.

Here comes the sun

Bright yellow is a cheery color. After all, it’s the same shade as gold, sunshine, and lemons and can symbolize reason, optimism and pleasure. Heidi Klum recently wore an egg-yolk yellow red carpet dress while Emmy Rossum opted for a more subdued golden frock.

Lean and green

While Pantone recently named emerald the color for 2013, Spring and Summer are probably more suited to a more muted light jade shade. In Ancient Egypt green symbolized regeneration and rebirth, making it the perfect color for this time of year. And, because it’s so universally flattering, pastel green is a popular choice for bridesmaids gowns.

Pretty in pink

Everyone in the studio gasped with delight when Face of Faviana, Ashley Benson walked out of her dressing room in this stunning ice pink gown. Pink is one of those rare shades that complements any hair color—blonde, brunette, silver, and yes, even red. Whereas we advise keeping green on the lighter side this season, pink can be as delicate as cotton candy or as loud as fuchsia. It all sings Spring to us.
