Snacks are good, but not always good for you! Everyone loves to munch on potato chips between meals and that’s fine in moderation, but you have to draw the line somewhere. The best way to snack while also feeling good is to make your own! We’ve paired up with the Glam & Gowns vlog to bring you healthy and yummy snacks for you to enjoy. They’ll give you energy and keep you full all day long!

Green Power Smoothie

This green smoothie is healthy and delicious. It will keep you full and energized throughout the long school or work day. It could even be your breakfast!

Ingredients and Materials:

  • Blender
  • 1 cup of kale
  • 1 cups of diced pineapples
  • 1/2 cup of blueberry pomegranate juice
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • Ice

Put all of the ingredients into the blender until it is completely blended and you’re done!

This recipe is an easy twist on the trendy avocado toast that we all love to eat and to post on Instagram. The crackers are perfect as party snacks or just to eat on your own!

Ingredients and Materials:

  • Gluten free crackers
  • Avocado
  • Slice tomato
  • Sea salt
  • Olive oil
  • Chili flakes
  • Knife

Step 1: Mash up and spread avocado onto the cracker.

Step 2: Place a thinly sliced tomato onto each cracker.

Step 3: Drizzle olive oil and chili flakes onto the crackers.

Kale Chips

Kale chips are a great and healthy alternative to potato chips. They are a low calorie snack that you cannot stop eating after just one. Make them in bulk so you can enjoy them for days at a time or even make them for a party!

Ingredients and Materials:

  • 2 tsp of sea salt
  • 2 tsp of garlic or onion powder
  • Cayenne (optional)
  • Kale
  • Baking tray
  • Oven

Step 1: Wash kale

Step 2: Peel the kale leaves from the stems and place the leaves on the baking tray. Bake for 40 minutes at 135 degrees and flip halfway through. Make sure they are crispy!

Step 3: Put the sea salt and garlic or onion powder on top. Add cayenne for an extra kick.

Homemade Protein Bites

This no bake, protein filled snack will make you feel healthy and strong, while sending your taste buds on a journey. These super easy, bite-sized protein balls are the perfect post-workout snack as well!

Ingredients and Materials:

  • 1 to 2 scoops of protein powder
  • 1/2 cup of natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • Gluten free oats
  • Shredded coconut
  • 2 tbsp of vegan chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds
  • Bowl
  • Refrigerator

Step 1: Mix peanut butter and vanilla extract into a bowl

Step 2: Put the rest of the ingredients into the bowl

Step 3: Start making balls out of the ingredients once everything is mixed together. You should be able to make about fourteen.

Step 4: Place them in the refrigerator for about 3 to 4 hours and they’re ready to be eaten!
