A Touch of Lace

This Fall the trends are endless from feathers to lace, there is something for everyone.    Lace is both sweet and sexy at the same time, its feminine with a twist.  White lace is demure and perfect for everyday, whether you pair it with a denim jacket and ballet flats or for night with nude pumps and a clutch.     More and more designers are turning to lace for evening wear as well. Black is the most common, as black lace is always classic and beautiful.    Some designers wanted to break away from the norm, so this season look out for bolder and brighter lace, like red, royal blue, yellow, purple, and beautiful nude tones.    Every women should add a little bit of lace to their wardrobe this year.

Channel your inner flapper this season as feathers are a hot trend right now.   Feathers are showing up everywhere from shoes, to skirts, to dresses, to hair accessories.    Take a simple black dress, add some ostrich feathers to the sleeves and you have a chic, glam look for a night out.   A stiffer feather like a rooster feather can add a bit of an edge to any outfit.  Feathers at the bottom of a dress make it fun and flowy, feathers inject glamour into clothes that are typically conservative.  If done subtle and right, feathers are a trend you will want to embrace this season.

Don’t go overboard with the trends this year, they are meant to add subtle changes to your outfits.  Too much lace can take you from classy to trashy and too many feathers can make take your look from tasteful to  tacky.  Be smart, be fashionable this season with these two fabulous trends.
