4 Make Up Tips for Girls with Glasses

4 Make Up Tips for

Girls with Glasses

I don’t care what every movie makeover montage says, taking a girl’s glasses off does not instantly make her attractive! I’ve seen girls wear glasses with their Faviana prom dresses and look amazing! For the ladies like me who rock a pair of spectacles here are a few makeup tips for us visually impaired.

1 – Best face forward

Best face forward

When choosing a foundation avoid using heavier liquid foundations. These will inevitably get “melty” under your frames and slide around your face. Glasses also have a tendency to accentuate any dark circles you have under your eyes so conceal carefully and set your makeup with a translucent powder!

2 – Foolproof eyeshadow

The shade and shape of your rims play a big part in what shades of eyeshadow you’ll look best in. When in doubt head straight for earth tones. They look great on everyone and are surprisingly easy to glam up for a night out in your favorite cocktail dress! Neutral tones work best because don’t have to worry about them being too overwhelming paired with your glasses.

3 – Out of the way eyelashes

I don’t have much to say about eyelashes in this instance but reach for your favorite waterproof or smudge-proof mascara. There’s nothing worse then having mascara smeared all over your lenses! You can also try curling your eyelashes to make sure they stay up and out of the way!

4 – Head turning lips

A pop of color is the perfect finishing touch for glasses. A bright lip can add just the right amount of drama to an otherwise simple look. It’s also a great way to change up your look since you wear essentially the same frames everyday!

I hope you enjoyed these makeup tips for those of us who wear glasses! Don't forget to take a look at Faviana's Spring 2014 – Prom Dresses 2014 collection!
